• Board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Over a decade of clinical practice in emergency, inpatient, community, and private practice psychiatry
• Involvement in leadership roles in medical education, hospital administration, professional organizations, and state government
• Experience writing protocols, policies, and procedures for standard of care; participation in sentinel event and peer reviews
• Experienced speaker to medical professionals, law enforcement, journalists, and the public
• Almost a decade of experience teaching medical students and residents as an assistant professor on the faculty of Indiana University Department of Psychiatry
• Full time practicing psychiatrist assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients every day – not a “professional witness”

I am responsive, professional, and thorough. You won't wait weeks or months for me to review a case or respond to a phone call or email. I will communicate my progress frequently and complete reports and other work in a timely, efficient manner.

I maintain a full-time clinical practice, keeping my diagnostic and treatment skills sharp and my understanding of standards of care up-to-date. I am not a "full-time witness." I have credibility and expertise because the clinical practice of psychiatry is my primary focus.
